Andrew Jenkins

We are pleased to be able to welcome Andrew Jenkins as our guest conductor for this occasion. Andrew is Head of Music at St Felix School in Southwold and leads the St Felix Choral Society and the Blythburgh Singers as well as his work for the school. We are delighted that he has also found time to lead the Beccles Choral Society for this concert.

Terry Cunnane   accompanist

Terry Cunnane was born in Manchester and taught in East Anglia for more than 20 years.

He became seriously intersted in music at the age of eleven when learning the piano, later going on to Nottingham University to study under Glyn Davies and Dennis Todd. As president of the college music society he organised and performed in a variety of musical events.

Having left teaching, he now has more time to devote to playing with instrumentalists, choirs and singers. He strongly believes in the beneficial effects of music and its inclusiveness, spending a great deal of time of energy promoting music in schools.

Terry enjoys composing and has crated many arrangements, – often for unusual combinations of instruments.

He has some very fine concert performances to his credit, which include Carnival of animals, The St Antony chorale Variations and Bach’s Brandenburg concerto No %5. He has played in Cambridge, Norwich, Snape and London and is in great demand as a pianist. Terry is currently secretary of the Gorleston St Andrew’s Competitive Festival.

Terry is much appreciated by the members for his expert and untiring help as rehearsal pianist and frequently also as accompanist in concert performances.
